The following higher education technology integration plan reflects my philosophy of educational leadership and approach to the teaching and learning process in higher education. It also illustrates my comprehensive understanding of the basic components of a student-centered higher education ecosystem. The organization of my technology integration plan is:
Mindmap: an illustration of my schema for e-learning in higher education
Word Cloud: an articulation of what I believe are the ten most important considerations in the instructional design process in higher education
Padlet Word Wall: an insight into my theory of online teaching and learning in higher education
Pinterest Board: providing online information and resources on the student-centered higher education ecosystem, which provides a foundation for my technology integration plan
Video Presentation: an outline of my technology integration plan
Resources: sources used in the creation of my technology integration plan
Mind Map
The following Mind Map illustrates my schema of e-learning in Higher Education. The map is divided into responsibilities of an online student (in purple) and those of the instructor/designer (in orange). I have then included my thoughts on what I believe works in online learning today (in green) and the areas that need improvement (in red).
My word cloud articulates what I believe are the ten most important considerations in the instructional design process in higher education. These considerations apply to online as well as in-person learning and should be incorporated into course design and teaching for an effective learning experience.
Padlet Word Wall
The following word wall provides insight into my theory of online teaching and learning in higher education. The resources in the word wall include videos, quotes, images, and articles, that can help instructors and designers create a more student- centered classroom experience.
Pinterest board
The following Pinterest board provides online information and resources on the student-centered higher education ecosystem, which provides a foundation for my technology integration plan. It includes resources and tools that can help facilitate teaching and learning strategies like flipped classrooms, technology integration, instructor training, and designing tools, to create an effective contemporary learning experience.
Technology Integration Plan Video Presentation
These videos outline my vision of a student-centered higher education ecosystem. In the first video, I discuss the mindset and responsibilities of the modern student and the instructor in higher education, with a focus on online learning. In the second video, I discuss the methods and strategies that can lead to this vision, including the role of instructional design, technology, and student support.
